Competition rules are that the song must be written for the soundtrack to the movie it is nominated for. Alexander feels that substantial changes were made to the first version of the song she had written to make it work for the Hannah Montana soundtrack and therefore it should fit the guidelines. The execs at Disney did not see it that way and yanked it before NARAS (The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences - The Grammy�s) made it�s final call.
